Jewel on redefining her marriage after son
I was asked to write about how having a baby has effected my relationship with my husband.... Easy, right? Ha!

I considered writing a fluff piece, but in typical fashion I became fascinated with exposing the things we seldom talk about, and decided to show you what getting real about love has been like post baby... I hope other moms and wives and husbands and fathers can relate... To the truth...

Post comments and let me know what you think...

To hear songs you write about this new time in your life. So many of us have been going through the same experience with our husbands and new babies. You have a way of expressing the feelings verbally that makes us feel so whole and understood when we listen. Your music lifts a girl up at the same time as it transports one to a place of quiet melancholy. It is a simply wonderful feeling! Best wishes.

The Truth!
I think that sounds great, I am a new first time mom myself of a little boy who loves his "dada" so much. The forbidden truth is that moms do it all when it comes to te baby, we argue silly about who's turn it is to get him out of the car seat vice versa...who's turn to change the diaper. I mostly feed him though he will do it some of the time too, I dress him bathe him, well I just try to make sure he does his fair share of the work! I mean out in public who's undisclosed responsibility is it to change babies diaper in the bathroom...moms. But we don't have too much alone time, I go to college ad he's in the navy and getting deployed in july, so its definately not easy but its all worth it too! It is nice to watch my husband with hi longhorns colt mccoy jersey on and then see my son connor wearing his little jersey having fun together...the love that you feel radiating off of a moment like that is worth a thousand pictures and makes me want to do it all over again! Good luck writing the new cd I love every singe song of yours and plenty of times have I drove my husband crazy with one song on repeat the whole night through! Lol haha and that's my happiness!
