Hi, before finding this community page for this website I wrote Jewel a personal message (typical fan message) on her youtube blog, however seeing how the last visit was 3 months ago, I'm not so sure it will get to her and it would mean the world to me for it to get to her. Could anyone tell me how I could directly message Jewel or forward the message below to her?

I'd rather not have anyone read this, but its more important to me that this message gets to her. So, without further adieu heres, the message

Hello, my name is Jay Ko and I'm from Chicago. I am 18 years old and am college bound. I first started to like you as an artist since around 2004-2005ish. I don't know if you remember, but it was the era of the "hit clips" and when my sister got one of your songs "Standing Still" I secretly really liked you as an artist. Of course as a young boy its hard to like a female artist because I was still insecure. Its hard to even admit to yourself. But nevertheless I admitted to myself that I was totally a fan of your music (but not to the public of course, I was still a kid). For some reason I had thought you retired and didn't make anymore songs so I had forgotten about you. Recently my friend showed me a song from your 2010 album. I freaked out and went and bought all your new albums. As an older person (relatively...) I admit that I do like female artists. I started to like Taylor Swift recently, although admittedly a lot less because I rediscovered you. I mostly liked her because her sheltered idealistic innocence was adorable to me(although I do feel disrespectful saying that because I'm younger) and you're a more mature person that I can look up to. I digress, I wanted to let you know that you immediately became my #1 favorite artist once more as you've "returned" in my perspective. I wanted to let you know that I appreciate you because unlike most people in the media, you retained your intelligence and perspective not only that but you actually have a beautiful personality as opposed to other celebrities who carry a bland and cookie cutter personalities. I also really like your philosophy as a philanthropist (tongue twister, haha). Even though most people would see you as being "above" them in the social ladder, you still seem to be altruistic and not condescending, which I also want to give you props for; I don't know if I honestly could do the same in your position. I've rambled so I just want to say that your new songs are heart warming, as well as beautiful just like you are physically. (now you might argue with me because I heard you were pregnant, but I'll argue with you right back) Congratulations on your baby, I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mother. Thank you for reading and good luck with your career, I'll be right here promoting your music.

ps. I've never done this kind of thing before ever in my life. First time for everything right? Never been as enthusiastic about a celebrity, I just don't care... usually, but I was too excited when I heard my favorite singer was supposedly "back from retirement" in my mind.

Sincerely,
J. Ko

Hello there. I'd say your best bet is just to leave your message here. Jewel reads the board Smiley

OR....you could tweet her a link to this thread! That might work the best if you're on twitter Smiley Welcome, by the way! Stick around Smiley

Thanks, I'm not much of a twitter user and don't have an account. So I'll take your word that she reads the board and rely on my patience.
