Ahhhhhhhhh...I'm gonna be famous...well almost!!! Ahhhhhhhh! I had a whole week to mull over what I was gonna ask Jewel. I sought advice from everyone I knew, and still I went with nothing planned. I didn't want to type or write my questions for fear of forgetting how to read. While waiting I did manage to write a few notes on an ATM receipt but that didn't work out so well because I forgot to take it out of my pocket until mid-interview. Line.....set list....thanks Laura.

Jewel was so beautiful. She was everything that I had imagined and more. I was so nervous I noticed that my voice jumped like 3 octaves...how embarrassing. She was great though, very personable. We talked about the beginning of the Almost Famous contest, Ty and DWTS, her pre-show ritual which includes miniature goats, lavender and honey, short stories, set lists, and her neverending ambition to learn new things. At one point I flapped like a chicken and told her my armpits were sweating (what was I thinking?)! At the end I asked her to sing with me. I can't believe she said yes. I started to sing "Near You Always" and sure enough two lines in I started to cry and I had to stop singing. The whole experience was awesome and I mean that in the truest sense of the word...awe-some; 1.) inspiring awe 2.) showing or characterized by awe. Jewel is truly an amazing individual and I cannot thank her enough for the opportunity. Amy, Curtis hats off to you as well for making it all happen. Much love to the Jewel community.
